There's some new stuff on a number of bands that you can read, should you follow the link below. I'll update it and add if necessary, or more likely, if I feel like it.

[More:]

Agalloch ...is resting this year, and focusing on the work of Sculptured. So, there will be nothing new of Agalloch for a time.

Amorphis ...has a new album slated for an August 31 release. The singles are out there, if you want to listen, and there are live videos on Youtube of the new songs. Nothing special, but not bad. I might review the album later this week, if I listen through it completely.

Anathema ...is again without any real, definitive update. There is a great deal of disappointment throughout their community posts, and a lot of people wondering where the updates have gone. The band is still playing occasional shows together, which is altogether a glimmer of hope, but there's nothing else. What's in the future for Anathema?

Dream Theater ...just released Systematic Chaos in the first week of June, and are starting their North American tour tonight. There are currently no confirmed dates in Florida.

Kamelot ...released Ghost Opera the same day as Dream Theater released Systematic Chaos (June 5), and are also starting up their North American tour soon - with Leaves' Eyes as their opener. Moreover, the tour is beginning in Florida, just a stone's throw north of Tampa in New Port Richey. Unfortunately, they won't be moving to South Florida.

My Dying Bride ...has seen three members of the band leave due to different reasons, though all have been replaced. There's nothing else, right now.

Nightwish ...found their new singer in May, and the new album is to be released on September 28. There are several singles already on Youtube for listening, and a song not specifically of the band, but still written by Tuomas, sung by Marco and drummed by Jukka for a Finnish film. It's called 'While Your Lips are Still Red' and it will be included as a bonus track on the new album, Amaranth. The video for this song is here (direct link, no redirect) and it's teriffic.

Opeth ...recently parted ways with guitarist Peter Lindgren, who was replaced by Arch Enemy guitarist Fredrik Åkesson. The band itself is working on material for their ninth album which should be released in 2007, and also a possible DVD release, as their show in London last November was recorded. The band's frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt is also working on a side project, though I don't know anything more, quite yet.

Sonata Arctica ...'s new album Unia, which was released in late May went gold in Finland. The band is finishing up a small home tour, and will be coming to the US and other countries in a couple months - including a stop at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale on October 6.

Sylvan ...released Presets recently. On September 1, they will be recording live in it's entirety, Posthumous Silence for a DVD release.

That's enough for now.
